was thinking of just rubbing salt, garlic, pepper and olive oil,maybe some rosemary. pretty simple, any other ideas? |

Depends on how you're cooking them. We grill our steaks outside, even in the winter, and usually go with a rub for ribeyes. You can make your own, and the one you proposed sounds great, but the stores sell great ones too. Try Virginia Coastal Steak Rub. Alexandria Tea & Spice Co also has tons of options for rubs. I also love Cajun spice on a ribeye. Brush on a little olive oil then sprinkle on the Cajun spice while grilling.
I prob wouldn't bother marinating a ribeye as its a pretty flavorful cut, but if I did I'd go with something simple - maybe olive oil, garlic, a little rosemary. |
