| Thinking about leasing rather than buying because I don't plan to keep a car for longer than three years. There are obviously good deals right now because it is the end of the model year (0 down, etc.), but is it still possible to negotiate as with a purchase? | Your best bet is to first negotiate the price of the car because that's what your payment will be based on. I have no idea if there is any latitude in negotiating the money factor that they use to determine the payment. And you could probably negotiate extra mileage or any add-ons. For instance, I got my dealer to throw in a service package for $400-500 to help with the cost of oil change for the life of the car. |
