My 1 year old has started wanting to nap at 3pm to 5pm. He hadn't been feeling well so I kind of just let it go. Two weeks later he is still falling asleep at or after 3pm and sleeping to after 5pm. Of course this spills over into bedtime which is now happening at 10pm which does not work for us. I have tried waking him up early, I have tried waking him up from his naps early. Any other ideas? When he gets up early in the morning he still wants to nap at 3pm. If I wake him up for his nap he is a little beast and still semi asleep.
He sleeps until 8am regardless of when he naps. I have tried getting him up at 7am. Doesn't matter. I need some advice from moms who have been through this. Help. Please. |
| Try moving naptime back by 15 minutes every few days. So start today at 2:45, Thursday at 2:30, Sunday at 2:15, etc. until you get to the desired start time. |
