Warning-another annoiying post.. What bugs/viruses are going around?

I know people hate these, but it helps me a lot. Is there a bug going around with typical cold symptoms (sneezing, fatigue, mild headache, slight fever) followed by quick relief with no symptoms for an hour or 2, followed by more fatigue and what seems like horrible reflux with throat and mouth pain, but not stomach? Right now he's sleeping soundly and snoring (from congestion). This all happened today. Yesterday, he was just a bit more tired than usual, but did not seem sick. It seemed like a NBD bug until the sobbing and throat burning which went away after he vomitted a little fluid. Usually with vomiting he only complains of stomach issues. Once bad refluxy episode was over he felt relief and just tired. Fell asleep right away snoring from congestion. I will of course call the Dr. if things don't improve when he wakes up, but just curious.

| what you're describing is something that has been circulating since October. This hit me and many of my co-workers then - horrible reflux, headache, congestion, fatigue. Takes at least a week to get over it. |

OP here. It's still circulating? I ask because we all got versions of this in October. Both kids had a really mild version with just decreased appetite and a little vomit, but no major distress. DH and I had bad cases. I assumed it was something new since DS was sobbing from the pain . Also, I figured if he had it once he would have immunity?

I think it's because this one is so odd. I personally had never had a virus with violent reflux before. I actually thought I was developing a condition since any GERD in the past was much milder. If I hadn't read on here something was going around I would have looked into it. Sure enough it did go away.

exactly, this reflux virus is horrible.
OP, I'm 16:44 - I think it's the same virus. the symptoms seem to be the same - esp. the reflux symptoms that no medication can do anything about. |

She probably caught the stomach flu while at the doc to get the flu shot. |

Lice are taking over. Growing up I had long hair and got lice once or twice my entire childhood. Now some kids get them twice a year or more in the early years. The lice of today are superfreaks. I'm telling you the whole world could explode and the lice and roaches would survive. |
