Makeup newbie here..... Today I went to the mall and got some tinted moisturizer, concealer, blush, lipstick, eye shadow and powder from the Chanel counter...I dont have any kind of makeup brush....The brushes at the counter were not cheap exactly so I didnt buy them..I was wondering if i could buy makeup brushes from somewhere else?? Not super expensive but not cheap either.... Makeup experts pl recommend your makeup brushes..
Thanks so much.. |
| Costco are selling great brushes at the moment. |
| Sephora. I have had basic set of their brand for over 10 yrs. Get brush cleaner and take care of them and they last. |
| Ulta is another good source for brushes. I find that I need three - one large soft one for face powder and blush, one small stiff one for eyebrows and one small soft one for eye shadow. They aren't cheap but they last forever if you take care of them. |
| Yeah, Sephora brand makeup brushes are just fine. After years of buying really high-end brushes, I've also just ventured into the world of drugstore makeup brushes and, y'know what? They're not bad at all! |
| MAC has a great sale for a set of brushes during Christmas every year. That said, I doubt you'll ever use all of them if you aren't a make up artist. I firmly believe in about 3 or 4. The rest just sit in my maekup kit. |
| I have Mac and Bobbi brown brushes. Highly recommend the Mac brushes. They can be cleaned with soap and water and I think they come with a guarantee. |

If you want good starter brushes to help you figure out what works best for you, start with drugstore brushes. Eco Tools and Sonia Kashuk from Target have really high quality brushes. I have a big fluffy powder brush from ELF as well, I think I got it at CVS. I think the Eco Tools and Sonia Kashuk brushes are just as good as my Sephora and MAC brushes.

| Can anyone tell me more about the Costco brushes? Quality, price, opinions? |
| Second the Sonia Kashuk recommendation. |
I actually like my Eco Tools brush set better than the set I bought from Sephora. And the price was certainly right at around $10 for a 4 brush set. |
| Op here...thanks for the suggestions...I will have a look at these brushes this weekend.. |
Was just going to suggest myself. |
