Will there be middle and high schools that you have to test into in DC?

I know that NYC has some excellent HS programs that require students to take a test for admissions. I gather that schools like this are not available in DC. Will they be soon? Why are test-in schools not available now?

School Without Walls has a test. You have to get a certain score in order to move forward in the admissions process.

Banneker High is test in, right? I have no idea why DC has test in high schools but not test in middle schools. Wish it did!

13:43 have you been living under a rock? I would suggest before you ask a question www.dcps.gov and just let your fingers do the walking. We honestly, need to test the parents and not the students. Shesh!!!
