Any feedback on this school, positive or negative, would be much appreciated. We're considering it for next year. Thanks! |
They 'talk the talk' but do not 'walk the walk'. They talk a lot about being developmentally appropriate, yet when my child and I dropped by just to meet the director, she made my child sit down and write her name (at 3 years old) Child couldn't do it too well, so director called us later to say she wasn't sure she could 'say yes yet' to my child. I told her never mind, we were saving her time and saying no to them. |
I agree with the previous poster. They do (or used to) enroll kids with 'needs', but do not do a good job of really taking the time to individualize their learning. I have FIRST HAND experience with this. I also had a very bright, 'regular' kid attend for one year. There was an teacher there who gave my child a really hard time. |
Geneva had some teachers with not so great reputations. Don't know if they are still there, but teachers who spoke harshly to the kids, things like that. |
I was reading this old post and would love to hear more from this poster...my DD with needs is going there this year and I became concerned when I read this. I had very positive feelings about the school. |
I have a child there and it has been a great experience. I don't know what teachers you are talking about. They have been only kind. |
