I'm taking the two people I supervise out for breakfast the week before Christmas. Can anyone recommend a place? I'd like it to be fairly casual and not terribly expensive.

| A little out of the way, but there is a Teaism at Lafayette Park (800 Conn Ave). I love their breakfasts (and of course, their teas). |

| This is not casual nor is it inexpensive, but the breakfast at the Lafayette in the Hay Adams is fantastic. (Oatmeal souffle!) And the hotel is especially beautiful during Christmas. |

Old Ebbitt is a great breakfast spot.
If you want really casual there's a crepe place on 14th street (between k and l) |

Loeb's is open again right? I think they moved to 17th & I or something. Last time I went to FF for breakfast my "drag through the garden" scramble was cold and the bacon was all fat. Don't know what's going on in the kitchen
