gifts for close female coworkers

Anonymous
I wanna get a couple of my female coworkers a little something for Christmas. I'm 45 -- one is 50 and the others are in their 20s, but we're all close friends. Don't have a ton to spend, but maybe around $20 for each person. They shop at Chico's, Ann Taylor, New York & Co., etc. I know one of them buy lotions at V Secret. Maybe a little wristlet or something? Other ideas?

Maybe an interesting brooch from Etsy or second hand store?
You can never go wrong with a bottle of wine.

Nice hand lotion? Bath salts (not the ones that cause cannibalism), Smartwool socks, plants for their desks, fun desktop toy, manicure tools, cookbooks that fit their interests, nice olive oil, funny book (a la family photo disasters)?

Love the Etsy idea. Here are a few items:

Pretty desk calendar
Clever pottery bowl
Simple necklace
Tiny canvas prints

Also, the site Spoonflower (where you can design and print your own fabric) has an annual tea towel contest. Here are some of the designs.

Or you could try a luxury candle...something they would never buy for themselves. Some brand names are Nest, Diptyque, Seda France, Archipelago.

chanel lipgloss.. probably something they won't buy for themselves but it's a nice treat.

All such great ideas, ladies! Thank you. Love the Chanel gloss idea; had not thought of that -- would be a lovely treat (though picking a color -- ack!!) I also love the Etsy idea; I buy plenty off there, but I'm probably going to do a gift exchange by Dec. 14 and that may not be enough time.

This year I am doing liquor. Went to the ABC store and got miniature bottles of all different kinds of absolut flavored vodkas. I am going to print a drink recipe for each flavor on some fun paper and wrap them up.

I just got some great gifts on Fab.Com. Different stuff everyday but real nice and some great deals.

Could be a cute gift.

chanel lipgloss poster here - the two colors that are awesome are magnifique (a pink) and spark ( a red).

Oh--I love the lipgloss idea. You can also get fashiony R. Nichols cards for around $20 each (and then it's a bit personal as you can get ones that look like them, and they offer personalization for free a lot): http://www.r-nichols.com.

I went for broke this year and bought the girls in my office Drybar coasters (their cute little blowout gift cards). If you buy 6 they're $37.50 each.

Addendum: I just went to the site and personalization is free until the 11th (and they're exactly $20 a box)

OP here. I ended up personalizing gifts, so I did a variety of things, including a Kiehl's small bag of creams, a sweater from AT Loft and a gift card to Ulta. In addition, everyone got a fun nail polish. Kinda boring compared to these suggestions, but at least I have some ideas for next year!

I am sure they will be flattered you thought of them, no matter the gift.
