Grey's Anatomy - did you watch season premiere last night?

I turned off the tv after 20 minutes. I was so bored with it - it seems like the show has really gone downhill. The acting is predictable and it tries to be funny and it falls way short. If anyone else watched it - did it get better towards the end?

You should have watched Ugly Betty first. Then Grey's would have seemed Oscar worthy. All the shows seemed to have taken a dive. Is creative writing dead?

I sat through the whole thing. It was indeed lame. The only part even slightly worthwhile was the army surgeon + Christina thing, but they managed to screw that up, too. Impaled by an icicle?? Please. Next thing you know, someone's going to get a helicopter dropped on 'em.

I agree Ugly Betty was Utterly Boring last night. I was surprised. Grey's started off boring too but, as a truly devoted fan, I couldn't turn it off. It paid off, the 2nd half of Grey's was really good.

I saw that Episode of ER too.

I used to love Grey's, but it really does suck. It started off great, but has fallen victim to dullness, stupidity, and predictability. I tried to watch it, but just couldn't do it.

Funny, it looks like it's doing an ER type show next week. Pls, cancel it already.

Another former fan here. The entire last season was sub-par with the exception of the plot-line about Dr. Bailey's marriage falling apart. I was hoping for better from last night, but was disappointed. I will give it a couple more weeks and then probably stop watching.

I sat throught the whole thing and agree that it really sucked. Then I saw the previews for next week and laughed out loud. That show is on its way to being cancelled.

That Lexi girl character really annoys me too. Meredith looks really old too.

Looks like Greys is falling into the same pit as ER. The story lines are pretty much exhausted and it's only, what?, season 3?

so glad I didn't spend 3 hours watching channel 7 last night. I did watch the office and found myself laughing out loud more than once.

Grey's is going down hill- Meredith is annoying - Still and always- I don't even care who she ends up with or what her issues are.. annoying.. Christina with the new gujy was cute- but that whole icicle thing- it never melted? hello? the rest was blah..

i have netflix now though i miss the shows being good since i can't spend over an hour watching a movie when I barely have time to do anything once our two under 3 are asleep!

I thought the same overall, but the story line with the three couples was very very good...Bernadette Peter's husband loses his voice, the one thing he truly needs to communicate everything that had happened in his life to bring him to that point. Bernadette Peters, the "dipshit", is the one that simply reminds everyone it will be alright. The woman who needs assistance due to memory loss loses the person who can now best care for her....I liked that part. Alex and Izzy will be hot. They could have worked more with Rose and I LOVED that "Head Doc" lost his )#(&$&& at the entire team...I didn't see previews for next week, though.

I think Rose will reappear - they'll have a story line with a child coming in that will need neurosurgery - McDreamy. He'll go downstairs to the ped. unit OR and look up to see Rose there "correctly" handing him the scalpel. They'll flirt and the story line will go in a circle just like it always does.

The icicle thing was lame. They should've had it melt like it does in real life once you wheel Yang into the building. Then you have the "drama" of having to work fast to stop the bleeding before the ice melts and blood shoots everywhere, etc.

Lexi and Izzy both annoy me. I wish their characters were toned down. In fact, I always hope for Sloan and Alex to make a disparaging remark because they are equally annoyed by them.
