| I keep hearing that first-time applicants (no siblings) who are accepted at NCRC are *always* offered an afternoon slot (at least in the three-year-old classes). Is this really the case? Is there any point in applying if I know I don't want an afternoon slot? |
| What do you not want an afternoon spot? |
| I don't know about *always,* but every family I've known with a child who attended NCRC was only offered an afternoon spot the first year. This includes some high profile/big donor potential families. |
Why is this the case? All the morning slots are taken up by incoming siblings every year? |
OP here. I know it's difficult to predict, but my currently 2.5-year-old takes a solid 2-3 hour nap in the afternoon, and I can't imagine she'll be ready to entirely give up a nap by next fall. There are other scheduling concerns as well. |
| They take very few new kids for the 3s class. |
| I know of 4 families with kids in morning classes there this year who have no siblings there. |
