Sensory Processing - Where do you buy clothes?

Anonymous
To tag onto the previous poster's question about SPD, I wonder if anyone has a suggestion of a good place to buy clothing? I seem to have the best luck with certain Hanna Andersson clothes - but these are a bit beyond my budget. My daughter wore some of the Sonoma line at Kohls, but my daughter is a size 7 now and once you get to that size - it's like the junior department and clothing is no longer simple and soft - it's funky and trendy and thus - itchy, stiff and uncomfortable. I'm hoping for some inexpensive suggestions - and I'm open to suggestions for resale shops or someone here who has a girl who has outgrown her soft, comfy size 7 clothes...

Thanks!

i posted in another thread about my niece with SPD ... she is a size 5 and LOVES cotton leggings and dresses. buttons, zippers, etc are still an issue for her, so we keep it simple. i found a boatload of those for her at an oshkosh outlet.

OP here. Thanks for the response. My daughter is picky about pants. Must be soft, wide legged and with a low hanging crotch (there's probably a nicer way to say that -- long inseam?). Anyhow, leggings are not happening for her. I noticed that Land's End online is selling plain long sleeved t-shirts for $6 right now but requires $7 shipping plus tax. I might check Sears and see if they have some in store. Any other suggestions?

Hannah Andersson has amazingly soft clothes! they also have good sales

Target anyone? They don't do tags in lots of their knit shirts. Sportswear (sweat pants without the ankle elastic) also works fine, and you can buy for your daughter from the boys department.

LL Bean, Lands End and Hanna Anderson, sometimes, not very often, Boden. I always always buy during sales for the next year. I've gotten T-shirts for $5 from Bean. As much as wash my son's clothes, I try to buy quality because they hold up better. I never pay full price if I don't have to. I also go the Baby Gap outlet in Old Town, very cute and sturdy clothes.

Very soft cotton clothes, some without labels inside, at Children's Place, and at a good price. I now buy most of my kids' clothes here, and they often ask to sleep in them because they are so comfortable:

Last year, at Sears in Montgomery Mall, the salesclerk suggested ordering at the store; she said shipping was free for things they didn't have in stock. I don't know if that's still true, but if you're going there anyway it's worth asking.
