Better elementary schools in Downtown Silver Spring area

| Sadly, I may end up leaving my dh. If I do, I would want to live in somewhere between downtown SS up E-W but below Ct. Ave. What are the better elementary schools in that area? It would be for the upcoming school year, so for 3rd grade. Thanks. |

| In the Rosemary Hills district your child would go to North Chevy Chase or Chevy Chase for 3rd. |

| Rosemary Hills/CC and Woodlin are the two elementary schools for that narrow corridor. Maybe Sligo Creek for those condo buildings near the Blair shopping center, but I am not sure. All 3 have different middle schools though. Woodlin i arguable the best ES of the 3, but it has the worst middle school. |

| Some of the SS schools along East West Highway, the schools that are closer to Bethesda, feed into Rock Creek Forest and then BCC. |

My kids went to Woodlin. It's wonderful. It's small with a devoted and very capable set of teachers, and a strong principal who supports them. High marks.
Unfortunately, 14:04 is right. The middle school has issues. Right now there is so much scrutiny on the school that it may see a (much needed) turnaround by the time your kids get there. |
