I mean, he certainly sounds out of his mind lately.

This seems sane though.

Can you even imagine how much money Trump has spent on lawyers in his lifetime? It must be staggering.

He doesn't pay, that's one of the reasons why lawyers don't want to work with him.

Trumps threat to Garland is very real. He has no love for this country or even his followers except as they serve to adore him. I think the nutballs who aid his behavior will be shocked at what he's willing to do to disrupt this country. But they'll recover.

Like he’s been acting like a sane man all this time.

I think we've seen what he's willing to do. That's why he should be in jail, and never should have been near the WH.

In other words, Trump is now officially leading a terrorist organization?

Foley & Lardner seems pleased and proud that Chris Kise is now working for Trump. They've totally scrubbed Kise from their website.

This is a lawfirm who better have an evergreen retainer. Of course, litigators are at the mercy of the rules. But still. oof.

How long before he quits? Trump never listens to his lawyers and never pays them

Standard stuff when an attorney departs.

He's also so incredibly *tedious* - imagine anyone else going on these boring rants about how mistreated they are, while posting on their gold toilets, over and over.

You'd block them on social media and pretend not to see them in real life.

Years ago I read a study about Republicans and how they generally ascribe to a more authoritarian worldview, and how many were reared in homes that were authoritarian if not outright abusive (“spare the rod and spoil the child” as one facet) and how that’s how they vote. They don’t look for someone smart or a partner or anything like that, they tend to look for a leader. And that would track with their willingness to sit down and enjoy the rants of a crazy man.

there is a reason why Trump is popular in authoritarian countries, and not true democracies.

And the world thought Putin and Xi were better than Trump. Now, that's saying a lot.

I guess. He just doesn't even seem like a leader. He just seems like a guy who stands on a street corner smelling like urine and shouting at people.

Sorry, the article made it plain, as I did not, that they look for “leaders,” not real leaders. If you grow up in an authoritarian home, you’re looking for a bully to tell you what to do, not someone to bring out people’s better natures.

They should get a hefty retainer upfront and when that runs out, bill him and if he doesn't pay, quit.

My question is if DOJ has gone through the documents, why is there a need for a special master?
