I've seen both Chop't and Sweetgreen around - is there a difference between the two? Which is better? I need a good fast food place that's healthy |
They both give you diarrhea. |
They are similar but Chopt will take all the salad fixings are literally chop them up. (Sweetgreen tosses them together.) I prefer Sweetgreen for their soda and frozen yogurt. |
I like SG better - but Chop't isn't bad. You can eat at both. No need to pick just one. |
Hey, D Poster, it's starting to get old. |
I live near both and eat both pretty regularly (never have gotten diarrhea, I'm wondering if PP just has a gentle tummy).
I prefer Sweetgreen because several of the salads are just more to my flavor palate (Bondi salad, yum). However, they are both good, and filling. If you eat a lot of salads and don't mind paying a lot for one - you can't wrong with either and can just mix them up to get different flavors. Sweetgreen has really great drinks and the frozen yogurt is really amazing. |
Agree with everyone.
They are similar, but I prefer sweet green. They both will give you diarrhea. I know chopt charges extra for practically every decent ingredient, and it adds up. I don't think sweet green does this, but they are expensive in general. So if you're more of a carrots, croutons, plain grilled chicken kind of person, Chopt is fine. If you want feta instead of cheddar, edamame instead of sunflower seeds, go with sweet green. |
For my money I go to Freshii. I have bad gluten allergy so I can't always eat at chop't and sq because their dressings have gluten |
sweetgreens is my preference. i hate chopt! |
Sweetgreen is a local chain and sources more of their produce from local markets, so that's a consideration. |
I love them both. Different salads. Chopt has more variety in general. Sweetgreen seems to have higher quality. But both are quite good. I just like the variety and rotating ingredients at Chopt.
I don't get the gross diarrhea comments. Are you guys not generally getting enough fiber? Doesn't do that to me at all. |
I love chopt! |
Sweetgreen just changed their menu and my favorite (also the Bondi) is no longer on it. I actually don't like any of the new choices and they don't have the ingredients to make the old Bondi and Caesar. For that alone, I will choose Chop't from now on. |
I have gotten sick after Chopt, never after Sweetgreen. My DH eats Chopt without any issues. I think Sweetgreen is healthier although I, like PP, miss the old Caesar. I've been eating the misoba a lot, really good. I like Chopt, just feel like their salads can get kind of heavy. YMMV. |
I love Sweetgreen but every time I've eaten there I have a terrible allergy reaction. My allergist suspects sulfite preservatives, so if you know you have sensitivity to sulfites, you might want to think twice. I really enjoy their salads but it is not worth the sneezing, itching and headache. |
