How far in advance can you prep...?

I only have 2 things to make/bring this yearn (for 2 different houses we have to go to):

Baked mac and cheese

The standard green bean casserole (w/ the french fried onion rings on top)

How much can I prep in advance, and how far in advance?

(OP here)- for example, I have free time today, can I shred the cheese for the mac and cheese? Or is it too soon?

I don't think so, OP. It's going to be hard as a rock.

However, why not make the whole casserole in advance, and just heat it up on game day?
