My cervical fluid is very scant and I am considering purchasing Pre-Seed.
I have read mixed reviews about it, and was wondering if anybody on here actually got pregnant using it? Thanks! |
My husband and I used it. I had a LEEP procedure done in 2002 and now have very little fluid. I really liked the pre-seed. Not sure if it actually aided in getting pregnant - but we did get pregnant the 6th month of trying. It did help make everything more comfortable and the preseed doesn't kill the sperm. I figured every little bit helps. When we try for our second, we'll use the preseed again. |
We actually got pregnant the FIRST month we used pre-seed. Don't know if it was luck or what, but that is how it happened!
Good luck. |
We used it successfully--I think it probably helped, since at 35 my fluid was much less noticeable. But we also kind of switched up our timing (waited until peak day, no sex in the days leading up) the month we conceived, so that probably played a role too.
Bought from Amazon.com, I don't remember how much I shopped for it, but they had a good price and I think it qualified for the super saver shipping. |
both times i used pre-seed i got pregnant!! ![]() |
The first month I used pre-seed, I was also using a fertility monitor, it worked! |
8:49 here again--
my thoughts when buying it were that it couldn't hurt, and it's really not all that much money in the grand scheme of things--how much it could cost to try to conceive, KWIM? |
After wanting to have a baby for a long time, the moment my husband agreed I was ready. The second month trying I used pre-seed, I was also using a fertility monitor, But it worked! |
We used it once and it worked for us! Like somebody else said, it couldn't hurt! |
It worked for us the second month after trying it, I don't know if it was the Pre-seed or not, but after over a year of BFN I tend to give it a little of the credit for our little boy! |
We also got pregnant the first time we used pre-seed. I will definitely use it again when we are ready to try for our next child. |
really hate Pre-seed. First it comes in little packets that bear an unfortunate resemblance to the "Frontline Flea & Tick" medicine we use with the dog. Even more unfortunately, I voiced this analogy to DH at an inopportune time and immediately killed "the moment". Second, it turns really sticky and tacky really fast, so wasn't much help with lubrication. The "Taking Charge of Your Fertility" book recommends using egg white (which icks me out) and my fertility doc has recommended canola oil, which is what we use. Fertility docs also recommend taking Robitussin with Guaifenisin (spelling??) which stimulates the production of more conductive cervical mucus (since it's the same drug that helps dissipate mucus buildup causing chest congestion). This is supposed to be particularly useful when taking Clomid, as a side effect of Clomid is making your mucus dry up.

I am SO glad someone brought this up! It took me five years to get pg the first time. The second time, I used this and got pg the first time.
I was once very active on Resolve.org's infertility boards, and people swear by this stuff. Good luck to you!!! |
Like some of the PPs, we got pregnant the 1st month we used pre-seed. It was a 4th month trying. |
Ditto - we got pregnant the first month we used pre-seed also. |
