Missed ovulation. Just venting

We have been TTC for 11 months. DH had a sperm analysis on Monday so we had to abstain for 48 hours. His numbers came back great and I had so much renewed hope from that little information that maybe we could do this naturally. And then I somehow managed to ovulate 3-4 days earlier than ever before, according to Fertility Friend. I got the temp spike Tuesday confirmed by 3 more high temps, and monitor peak on Tuesday and Wednesday. We didn't have any sex from Saturday to Tuesday night so I'm sure we are out of luck. I realize this is nothing compared to the heart break and long journey so many of you have taken. At. All. I just don't have anyone I talk with this about and just wanted to vent for a quick minute. There, I feel better. GAH!

We are on month 9 TTC our second. I think we missed it this month too. We had sex Sun/Mon and then O'd on Tuesday. DH was so sick and laid up in bed for days that we didn't have sex on Tuesday, and then not again until last night. We used preseed for the first time this cycle on that Sun/Mon. I'm hanging on to hope that the preseed kept his little swimmers alive up there. I'll know next week.

Just curious, how did you get a sperm analysis when you've been trying for less then a year? Are there other issues? Is your OB just on your side (mine thinks I'm crazy)?

Hi this is OP. 1454, my ob also thinks I'm crazy. I just called up Dominion and made a consult appt for myself and asked about the sperm analysis and how to do it. We needed to get an order from my ob, or from DH's pcp or urologist. He called his pcp since that seemed easier. He had it done a few days later and we got the result the next day. Getting the news that dh has good sperm was such a relief. I'm going to stick it out until after the holidays and then will start all of my testing but I am not looking forward to that. I should add that my insurance doesnt need a referral for specialists so this worked for me.

Not to hijack, but 14:54, you could totally have gotten pregnant this cycle. I am 35 weeks pregnant with a baby conceived when I was sure we missed the o window. We had sex on a Sunday and then my husband went on a business trip. I got a positive ovulation reading Monday night and felt ovulation cramping Tuesday afternoon. But Tuesday night I no longer had a positive opk. I was sure we'd missed it because we didn't do the deed Monday or Tuesday...but lo and behold, we are due in less than 5 weeks. Keep the faith!

+1. We were TTC less than a year and my OB thought I was crazy for wanting to do testing, but I just did a consult at Shady Grove and they ordered the sperm analysis and did it. Easy and a relief!
