Is the new grading system going into HS? How will kids get into college?

Our kids are in elementary school. On one level, grades don't really matter in ES as long as the kids are learning. However, in high school grades do matter. Is the new everyone gets a P grading system going to be applied to high school? If it is, how is this going to work when kids go to apply for college?

So far nothing has changed at Blair. That said, the grading system is still weird. An 89.5 and a 99.5 are both an A. And the method of averaging quarterly grades to get the semester grades is beyond weird. However, I agree that moving to the Ps would not be an improvement.

No, there are no plans to change the secondary grading system.

It's just another plank in a grand liberal platform to designed to bring about the systematic down fall of a competitive America. It will be up to you, as parents instilling proper values and a competitive spirit in your children, to compensate for this absurd policy.

MCPS-ers fear not. It's happening all over the country.

I feel sorry for you. And I'm no fan of Starr and Co.
