I think we're just doing a basic Thanksgiving this year because it's going to be a small crowd, but I might try something new if I can find a great recipe.
What are you serving this year? Food? Beverages? So far I'm thinking: Spinach/artichoke dip with baguette slices Turkey - roasted on the grill Stuffing/dressing (recipe tbd - something basic) Mashed potatoes Gravy (will buy from WF) Cranberry & orange sauce Haricot verts Pumpkin pie And maybe an apple cider-based drink if I find one I like... |

Thanks! I almost forgot about rolls!! Sounds like we are having a similar meal. We sometimes do a ham too if we have a large group. |

I'm drooling. I can't wait until next Thursday! You all have yummy meals planned!
Apps: Deviled eggs Pumpkin bread Olives Pickles/cornishon Dinner: Turkey (brother-in-law does a Louisiana style marinade) Garlic mashed potatoes (but I've been wanting to try sour cream) Corn pudding Peas with pearl onions Sweet potato casserole Rolls/croissant rolls Canned cranberry jelly (husband and sister-in-law swear by them) Fresh cranberry chutney Stuffing Dessert: Pies (not sure which) Group effort on the part of 4 adults from 4 households. |
It's in one of the recent Cooks Illustrated issues - indirect heat. We don't have a double oven so I'm excited to free up our oven! |
I posted this question last week and got some great answers- |
