So I am a working mother of 2 (3 year old and a 1 year old) and with a 3rd one on the way (six weeks in)
I am having a terrible morning/allday sickness, a cold that I cought from the little ones, and no energy whatsover... I have a very supportive husband who takes on as much as he can but gets grumpy in the process. I also have a very understanding boss that lets me be late when need more time to get it togheter in the morning, but I have a feeling her patience is about to run out.... In addtion, I have piles of loundry to do, terrible moodswings, can not cook beacuse everything starting with bread, meet, seefood - makes me nauseas, can not focus, and cannnot sleep trought the night...(sickness etc) I just can not get it together to save my life ![]() Any advice? |
Any chance of getting a mother's helper to help out in the evenings? A local middle school girl?
You may be able to grab 30 minutes of a nap and get some clothes put away. |
Or a mom or MIL who can come stay with you for a week or two and help? Maybe make a bunch of frozen meals that you can rely on, especially during this period of morning sickness? |
Any good friends who can take the kids for a bit so you can relax or just get some stuff done? Ask people for help! They'll give it. I also second the mother's helper, if you have any babysitting budget to spare, they are less expensive and can be a big help. |
Even if you could just get a mother's helper on the weekend that might help so then you'd have uninterputed time to prepare for the week ahead(laundry, cook a casserole or buy frozen dinners). Best of luck. I feel for you! |
