I want to start making more veggie and fruit smoothies for the kids, but have burnt out 2 blenders in the past. So I'm looking to purchase a good blender for just smoothies. I've heard the vitamix is great but super expensive. Which one do you use, I would rather not buy the ones that only make a glass at a time.
Oh and if you have any great recipes ...i would love to hear them. |

| Just got a vitamix from Williams Sonoma and I really like it. It's way more powerful than other blenders I've owned. There are a bunch of different models - I got the one that has a wider lower base so it fits under the counter. It's supposed to be 40% quieter than the regular model, but it's still pretty loud. |
| Ninja. Wanted a vitamix but couldn't afford it. My cook friends who have vitamix at work, use the ninja at home. Smoothest smoothies. |
| thanks for the replies, I went to BBB yesterday and saw the vitamix for 500 and the ninja for under 200. So the ninja works good? I like making my kids fruit and veggie smoothies but it still has lots of the seeds or tiny chunks. So I have to add another step of using the strainer, but i feel like lots of the nutrients are lost. |

Vitamix off of ebay. It was cheaper and it's an AWESOME machine. The motor is so fast you can boil soup in it!
I bought the dry container as well so we can grind our own flours (way cheaper than specialty flours) |

I know you don't want the invididual cups, but I love my Nutribullet. The drinks come out very smooth and it's quick & easy to clean.
I used a 20% off coupon and picked it up at Bed, Bath & Beyond for $79. |
