Where was and what is the largest home that you have seen for the least amount of money in MD, DC, or VA?

it's pretty understood that, the further you go from the city center, the less money your house will cost.

It depends what you consider the DC area. Some people would not even consider Loudon County the DC area.

Places like Manassas, Dale City in VA, etc. will get you more and more house for your money. Ditto the parts of Maryland that are closer to Baltimore, Delaware, and the PA border.

You want a lot of house for the money? Move to Richmond. Or West Virginia. There, you are done.

There are huge, new, cheap houses in several places in PG county. You can find a house built in the 00's with 3000+ sq ft for 400k. This is comparable to where my parents live in WV.

I love browsing the cheap McMansions in PG County. The whole time I think, "Maybe we could home school ..."
