Storing knives IN cabinet

Anonymous
Trying to get everything off our counters and out of site, and would love to find a way to store our knives (8-10, small to large) inside an upper cabinet

I dont have many drawers, and the ones I have need to be kid friendly (.g. my 4 year old sets the table, so they can't be in the cutlery drawer, my 2 year old gets out the napkins so they can't be in the lower drawer)

I saw some under the cabinet knife blocks, but would love something to go inside. Seems unsafe to have a drawer block (with knives open on top) on a shefl.

Not sure if blocks like this could be stored on their side?

Or if one of the under the cabinet blocks could be installed inside a cabinet?

Any suggestions?

I also use something like this - but for a pull out drawer. I love it, knives are in reach and off the counter.

I have a magnet and wood strip about 12 inches long that I mounted in the wall above my stove. You could mount on a cabinet door or on the wall somewhere else. Real space saver not to have the big wooden block on the counter
