Please recommend your electric cheese grater

Anonymous
We buy cheddar cheese in bricks and it takes forever to grate for mac 'n cheese and other meals. This brand only comes in blocks, and we keep kosher, so our options for good cheeses are limited.

Can anyone recommend a good electric cheese grater? Ideally, it would grate an 8 oz block of cheese (mostly cheddar and mozzarella) at once, but I understand that not all of them will do this. When I searched on Amazon, it looked like most of them were battery-operated and therefore not high-powered enough.

And using our food processor is not going to work, since we don't put meat or dairy products in it (related to keeping kosher). I'm specifically looking for an electric cheese grater, if a good one exists.

TIA!

No particular recommendation on brands, but I would suggest that prior to bringing it home you run it by a professional baby-proofer first to make sure it is safe for your home.

Could you just buy a separate bowl and grating disc for your food processor? You'd probably get better results with that than anything else.

Or else go to Target or some other discount store and buy a small, cheap food processor to store with your dairy items.
