sinus infection, bronchitis, AND ear infection: Help Me please!

Anonymous
I've been spending too much time cuddling with a germ infested todder I think. I got sick last Thursday, went to doctor on Monday (started meds) but I have a conference presentation tomorrow that I can't miss. Is there any way to feel better fast? Caffine? Uppers? magic pills?

I"ve been sleeping, drinking a lot especially warm liquids (but not alcohol), taking a ridiculous amount of vitamins, and staying home from work but I only feel slightly better.

Should I call MD and tell her drugs aren't working?

Thanks.

Aleve d helps me (as long as I'm not nursing or pregnant I take it). I also strongly recommend the Neilmed sinus rinse. Or some form of nasal rinse.

I second the nasal rinse or a neti pot. Worked for me, sometimes the meds don't help.

As someone who gets constant sinus infections, Mucinex D is a life saver. Make sure to get the one behind the pharmacy counter, because the one on the shelf is not as effective.

Stop all dairy for a while

Get the real Sudafed from the pharmacist. Anything (such as Mucinex D, Aleve D) with D (real Sudafed) you get from behind the counter will help.

You might consider Afrin for the actual presentation. You should be able to at least talk then. I wouldn't use it the rest of the time.
