What should a 6 month old be eating?

Anonymous
My DD started solids at 4 months so we have made our way through all the staples; cereals, orange veggies, green veggies, fruits etc. I'm having a total brain lapse and not remembering at all what I did with my older child when she was this age. What comes next?????

that seems young to me. Mine just had bm until 6 months, then a little banana, sweet potatoes, that sort of thing. But not a lot until over 8 months.

Agree with PP that it seems pretty aggressive. Most peds & AAP recommend only BM or formula until 6 mo, then slowly introducing solids. I'd check with your ped b/f branching out any further. And by the way, BM or formula should still be the main source of calories & nutrition until 1 year. Do not decrease the amt. your baby drinks just b/c s/he is on solids.

OP here - I appreciate the feedback however, my DD has reflux and the specialist recommended that she begin solids at 4 months. We have systematically and cautiously worked our way through all those foods mentioned giving them one at a time for 5 days at least before moving on to the next one. She doesn't eat that much and has 4 bottles of 5-7 oz a day.

I was just inquiring to see if I should be moving on to other foods or continuing what I have been doing.
