Chanel Suit- no exceptions!

Just kidding! I used to teach at 2 private schools in the area and moms would definitely come in for visits all gussied up and in Chanel suits-- We (the teachers and admissions people) would chuckle at that. I think the more down to earth you look, the better. For sure!

Just be true to yourself and wear what you feel comfortable in where you are putting your best self forward. This could be a suit or it could be a nice skirt/slacks and top. I think it more important to be relaxed and it will be tough to be relaxed if you go out of your comfort zone in the clothing department.

I've done a few interviews recently and found the admissions staff to be wearing business casual clothing or even more casual than that, even in schools that I thought were more formal or conservative. I wore a skirt and heels to one and felt out of place; after that I wore a sweater and pants with loafers.

my DH and I did a Saturday interview in a suit w/DS in a sweater vest outfit (so preppy I know!)... I felt a little overdressed for a Sat interview, however I figured that if the interview was on a weekday, this is what I would have worn, so I kept the same standard.

That being said, we spent some time on their bark playground and I had to step gingerly in my heels...
