pelvic pain - normal?

Anonymous
I'm 32 weeks pregnant and wondering if other folks have experienced pelvic pain and pressure...feels very sore, like I've done a really rough workout, and it's in my inner thighs, hips, and vulva area...

Walking, rolling over in bed, all of it sort of hurts.

Is this normal? And can I still walk and do mild exercise with this going on?

I'm at 34 weeks and have had that for most of the last three months. Kid is carrying low this time (dr says that's normal since this is kid #2). Didn't have any advice for me other than buying a maternity belt to try and "lift" the kid a little bit. Dr ok'd light exercise, so I try and walk as much as I can, though that's admittedly not much lately. Totally frustrating because even just walking from the train to the office is painful! Good luck. No advice, just sympathy here

i'm 22 weeks today and already starting to get it ... yesterday i had shooting pain down my crotch that literally stopped me in my tracks ... i didn't even know it was possible to have pain like that down there (birth excluded, of course!). this kid is SO low, he just won't get out of my darn pelvis.

I'm 32 weeks and have been lucky - I've hardly had any pain like that. Sounds normal though - round ligament pain, etc. My friends have complained of your exact symptoms. Some of them found success with a maternity support belt, esp. helpful if you exercise at all - even walking. The Gabrielle belt came highly recommended by one friend who ran throughout her entire pregnancy. Here's a link to a site that sells the belts:

I am afraid it's very normal and very unpleasant. I expereinced it with my last pregnancy, I was advised by the doctir to purchase one of those pregnancy support belts, didn't do it though Just suffered trough it, the good new is that some days it would completely go away!
