more schools should track students into vocational programs instead of pushing almost every student onto the 'college track' |
headbands/giant bows on baby girls are tacky |
junk foods and processed foods should be taxed heavily |
and people who rely on cheap, processed foods because they can't afford to buy healthier foods, should be given incentives (assistance) to buy healthier foods |
Yep. And I don't know why this is such a scandalous idea. I'm quite sure the HVAC guy that just came to my house makes as much or more than I do (masters degree). |
A healthy life is the only incentive you need |
Not true for many people. Also, healthy foods tend to cost more so that's also not true for many poor people |
Sexy at any size truly means fat acceptance.
Big is not beautiful. I'll embrace my curves, but I don't want to be overweight. Women who embrace their curves are fat ladies. So a fat woman is supposed to wear an empire waist dress to highlight her smallest region of her body (below breasts) and maybe slap a belt on there but she's still a fat woman wearing a dress with a belt under her bustline. You can't be fit and fat. |
If you don't value your health anyway, why should we waste money on incentives |
It must be amazing to be so privileged, you don't know about food deserts. Many inner cities offer no access to fresh foods. |
Excuses excuses ![]() |
It literally costs more to buy healthier, fresher food. Some people are on limited budgets and CANNOT stretch their available funds to cover the necessary number of days if they are buying the healthier options they may well prefer. Financial realities do not always perfectly intersect with people's priorities or preferences. |
I'm about as blunt as they come, but you're churlish. |
I agree about Beyoncé. But I pity you because you probably don't even realize how despicable a person you are. Truly. Those poor kids being raised by you while Daddy earns the $$. |
As someone where OCD runs in the family, I agree. There are degrees of OCD and a big part of it is owning it and working through a lot of it, using cognitive behavioral therapy, , meds if necessary, etc. The fact is, life is tough and mentally, everyone reacts to it in their own way. Best learn to cope ![]() I agree on every other point, btw. |
