any recommendations? I know of Adas and Communikids in Tenleytown. Would be interested in any additional recs, and also comments about either or both Adas and Communikids. Thanks!

Washington Hebrew has a program for 2s

Communikids is awesome, but I think kids need to be at least 2 and a half, and I don't think there is a 2 day per week option.

OP here, thanks! I plan on visiting Communikids and will look into the age issue. Will also check out Washington Hebrew.

Franklin Montessori at Van Ness?

Hands down, Communikids. But at 2.5. The school is outstanding. Terrific, nurturing, fun teachers. Kids thrive and do all sorts of activities and play outside at Fort Reno. They go on field trips across the city and they do it all while learning Spanish and English at the same time. This is the way of the future (although other countries have been doing this for decades) learning two or more languages at a young age. Check it out. We loved it. The school gave our daughter an edge linguistically, culturally, and academically.

Washington Hebrew was once a great school, but the bullying they allow is getting out of control. And it's too competitive for such a young age.

Franklin is a 5 day program. I think that All Saints at the Chevy Chase circle does a 2 day program.

Temple Sinai does a 2 day for younger twos.

CCBC has a two day class for twos as well. About 1.5 miles from Tenleytown.

Not O/p here. We are considering the 2yo class for the fall at WHC. Is it bullying of children by children or a parent-on-parent situation you are unhappy with? Besides this bullying can you explain your experiences with the teachers, activities, etc?

Thanks,

Seriously?! Preschool children aren't bullies. They are little kids with developing social skills. Get your head checked!

Okay, troll, you give DCUM a bad name. Since this forum is rife with comments about preschool biters, hitters, and every other form of social challenge small children have I will re-state my question for the original complainant.

Did you have a problem with the parents' or the kids' behavior, therefore the teacher's handling of the issue, at WHC?
