None of us wants to think it can happen to us. I'm sure that's part of what's driving the horrible judgment. I am not one for censoring, really, but at some point I think we have to take a stand as the web owner that you won't let the users here bully an anonymous stranger whose child was torn apart by wild dogs via DCUM, regardless of whether we think we could ever share her lapse of judgment. Please yank that thread, or delete the hateful posts. I know you try to err on the side of caution RE censoring people, but there seems little value in rehashing this, it's really just pure hate. |
I hadn't read that thread until now, but I'm not sure that it needs my intervention. Nobody is bullying the mother and I doubt the mother has any idea that she is being discussed here (let alone the countless similar discussions that must be happening on other Internet sites). |
Well, your sandbox, your rules. Sure doesn't put our community in a flattering light. How embarrassing for DCUM. A family suffers what is universally regarded as a parent's worst nightmare type scenario, and the participants on this board are ripping the mom to shreds. Whether she sees it or not, what's the value of allowing the conversation to continue? It's a real person who must be suffering something incomprehensibly right now. I do think it is bullying. What if she or one of her family members does see this? Or just, how embarrassing that others see us talking like this. We are all diminished kicking a man on his way to hell. |
OP, people like you are annoying as heck. |
OP, I don't open the wild dog/nanny murderer threads after the first couple of pages. It's asking for trouble. Just don't go there. You know exactly what you will find.
And there are definitely people here who post simply to stir the pot. |
