Thoughts on OB/GYN Dr. Deena Kleinerman??

I'm thinking of leaving Dr. Bajaj's group (I'm pregnant with #2 and had such bad experiences mostly with the support staff, not the doctors during pregnancy #1 at the end of 2006) and was wondering if anyone had comments on Dr. Kleinerman?

I'm looking for someone who delivers at Sibley with an office downtown (Dr. Kleinerman has a Bethesda office and a Sibley office). Anyone really happy with their downtown OB/GYN? If so, let me know.

I have met with her once as a GYN patient and was very pleased. She took a lot of time with me. I recently found out I am pregnant and will now be an OB patient of hers. My first appt in next week. TTC I had a few questions, and my calls were all returned from her office the same day. That is very important to me.

I was extremely happy with Dr. Alan Birnkrant. He is at 2311 M Street and delivers at Sibley and GW.

My primary OB is Dr. Gschwend, but I occasionally see Dr. Klinerman as well. I like her, but she is a bit quirky I would say.

I am concerned though that only she and Dr. Gscwhend deliver babies in their practice (several other doctors in the practice have decided not to to OB), so they now share duties with another office. While I understand that doctors within a practice have to share duties, I am not comfortable with the chance I will be delivered by someone outside their office. I am still researching the issue.

I love Dr. Gschwend but you should search this site for a number of posts about him. Some do not like him.
