San Antonio - something special for 8 yo girl?

| Extended family trip to San Antonio for Christmas-New Year and I want to have some "girls only time" with the ladies but mostly for my 8yo niece. She has to put up with her younger brother and my even younger DS and she is such a sport about it. Besides the usual mani/pedi route, which I think she is too young for, any ideas? We will be doing all the regular tourist stuff as a family already. And maybe it is just lunch at some special place, but suggestions are appreciated. Thanks! |

| Take her down to the Riverwalk and do a river boat ride with her. Eat lunch down there together. Also, an 8 year old would LOVE a mani/pedi. Don't write that idea off. |
