| That picture of her and Albert hugging is so cringy. Yikes. |
They are heirs to the throne and leverage. |
More than that - Albert is literally the last absolute monarch of Europe. His word is law. For those kids to go anywhere, he has to give permission and there's nothing a court could do about it. Also with Monaco's weird rule - dating back centuries - that it only remains an independent territory (from France) if a Grimaldi is ruling, it's just good policy that the heirs stay in the country and not off to another one, especially one which recently had a full-scale breakdown in security, for a year with their mother who doesn't seem all there in the first place. |
| Well, there's also young Alexandre Grimaldi. Wouldn't it be nice for Monaco to have a black ruler after Albert? |
Kids born out of wedlock aren’t eligible. Alexandre and Jasmine Grimaldi aren’t in contention for the throne. |

So has anyone seen the recent update ? Charlene collapsed and had to be rushed to a hospital. Guess she needed an excuse to get away from albert. Who finally brought the kids to see her this week.
The kids are not allowed to leave Monaco without albert, and there’s even chatter of them being conceived via ivf. Charlene tried to flee her wedding 3 times before the union became legal. Hence the crying at the wedding. Charlene also has been allegedly been living in Nice, not Monacco since the wedding. Seems albert has complete control over the kids, but not Charlene. There’s also a lot of chatter about some severe health diagnosis. Cancer wouldn’t be too far of a stretch |
| Who’s a worse prince, Albert or Charles? I always thought Charles, but I didn’t know much about Albert. Yikes! Pudgy and bald, unfaithful and a tyrant. |
Seriously. Hard to believe he’s Grace Kelly’s son. How do you lose that genetic lottery? |
She really does look like she is going through cancer treatment and i say that as someone who has been through cancer treatment. The way she looks generally unwell with her head wrapped plus the prolonged timeline of her treatment with rounds of visits with doctors. |
No one goes to get cancer treatment in that part of the world - not even their own heads of state. |
But also… what super rich person goes to South Africa for surgery in general? And she clearly did have surgery of some kind. The whole thing is bizarre. |
I have cancer. I could run a sewing machine a hour a day easily, but not tolerate an hours long flight from one continent to the other. |
|
At this point Charlene's actions should be considered parental abandonment. She's been gone for half a year (at least) and her children are suffering.
Albert still has to do his job and meet with foreign dignitaries, so he brought the kids with them and the little girl just looks so angry all the time. |
If you were on one continent stranded and your kids were on another -- would you do it? If you knew you could take sleep medication and be out for at least 12 hours -- would you do it? If you knew you could get better chemotherapy at world-class hospitals by suffering for one day but living for another year or multiple years for your family -- would you do it? Lastly, if your husband had a 200-foot yacht would you ask him to sail it down and have you back home in 3 weeks for cancer treatment? |
| I wonder if she really had a physical episode or if it was a panic attack at having to go back to Monaco with her adulterous, disgusting husband. |
