Hugs and deepest care to you. You are right, acting this out would have a profound impact on your children's lives. I see you as a waking self. You have held so so much and you know only the weight of it. There is an idea that ending the holding of this weight would bring release, but that is not true. It has been several years since a job that I deeply enjoyed ended. I then cared for my mother until her death. Since then, I've been trying to flourish in a life that I feel I didn't wholly choose -- dealing with unexpected responsibilities and struggling to find a job that suits me. Yes emotional numbness comes up clearly, though along with it comes personal growth through disappointment. It is as if a painful truth is being revealed. New challenges, phases and experiences await and accomplishments will be best achieved with the help of others. He must balance his days. Pursuing his search (even just ruminating in mind) will drain his energy, low energy creates an illusion of not enough time, which creates a vicious cycle of limitation. Ask angels to lift the burdens and it is imperative he make time for things that have the potential to bring joy.
