| Not in. WISC 135. GBRS 10. CogAT 127. The work sample the school submitted was a worksheet with one sentence written on it. I am shocked they submitted such a lousy sample. Especially since D.C. has won awards at school for his creative writing... |
They don't look at the GBRS from private schools because they are usually inflated. A 126 WISC is not high enough without other higher test scores, since they ignored the GBRS. |
Unless the sentence was profound, I would be annoyed. Sounds like the teacher didn't bother looking for something since she didn't think your dc needed AAP. |
A 135 WISC got rejected?! |
NNAT is below cut off. If you look at the IN scores on this thread, you will see the committee was very straightforward in terms of looking for 132+. |
Yes. This is what stands out most this year compared to 2016 and 2017. |
Was it a GAi of 135? What awards did your child win? |
+1 |
28 DRA is what 2nd grader should be at end of the academic year. Seems score is for beginning of the 2nd grade or end of the 1st qtr. So it is almost a year ahead. |

Cogat 134
Nnat 120 GBRS 8 Not eligible. 22181 Not surprised after reading GBRS and seeing the work samples. WISC this weekend, will appeal. |
Oh and DRA from beginning of school year : 28 |
Slightly below but still high. The argument is weak. |
CogAT not King in this case. |
Very Surprising. 135 is gifted by any definition... What were the WISC SUBSCORES ? LOW VERBAL INwiscc and CogAT.? |

Got accepted
