You believe this is a racially motivated hate crime, I also believe this is plainly obvious. But there are people who disagree, OR they believe it's an okay tit-for-tat, OR they believe our outrage is misplaced and should be focused on white-on-black hate crime instead since that's more prevalent.

No one except trolls thinks this is ok. That's not the prevailing sentiment on this thread.

TBH, I think the "disagreements" started when folks started imputing this criminal act to folks who had nothing to do with it and politicizing it. I do not think that anyone attempted to justify the crime. People were objecting to the predictable rhetoric that rears its head on DCUM when this sort of stuff happens.

Here's an example. On the thread about Ivanke and her kids being confronted on an airplane, multiple people made comments about throwing a pie in her face or worse.

And yet, that's just people typing. Not real physical aggression or assault.

Totally untrue. Over 90% of violent crime between blacks and whites involves blacks attaching whites. If hate crime charges were brought fairly, only a tiny percentage would involve black victims.
