That story has been linked multiple times. PPs want the names.

+1 FCPS has the number per school and the names. MCPS just says "more than 100" and lists all the schools that have semifinalists.

The names are linked in the article. Initially, the linked file didn’t contain the names but that changed this morning.

Surprised that B-CC has more than most of the W schools. Only Churchill had one more than B-CC.

Just opposite. Number of NMSF in my kid’s school almost doubled from last year. It made me almost believe that the digital test was easier.

However, do you guys noticed that all news said the standard tests showed that all American students performed worse and worse after pandemic? Sounds like PSAT is an exception?

I tend to believe it is a rat race - more and more kids spent more and more time to push the scores higher.

In my impression, private schools have advantage in college application than many public schools. But from the list, those several public high schools, like RMHS, WWHS, WCHS, etc, obviously have more NMSF than those private schools, like Bryn Mwar, McDonough, Georgetown Prep, etc.

Besides the bigger base number, does it tell us that private schools’ advantages are more out of academic, probably the leadership, EC, recommendation including feeder school?

Proportionally, the numbers are very similar. Obv public schools are much larger.

It depends on the school. HA is at over 10 percent, but Blair is less than 5.

All the more impressive because BCC is several hundred kids smaller than Walter Johnson and Whitman.
