Here are my early pre-season rankings for next spring based on talent on current rosters.
1. SJC 2. GC 3. Prep 4. PVI. 5. Landon 6. GZ 7. Bullis 8. DeMatha 9. Episcopal 10. Ryken |
As much I hate to say it, Prep and Landon should probably be higher. GC and PVI have good rosters but thin in a couple of spots. I think Ryken won’t be nearly as good this year with all the graduations (especially the goalie). I’d go 1. SJC 2. Prep 3. Landon 4. GC 5. PVI 6. GZ 7. Bullis 8. Episcopal 9. Heights 10. STA |
GP should be 1. Senior fogo, returning goalie, return all attack, return most poles. |
Good Counsel above Landon, Bullis and Prep is laughable.
SJC is likely pre-season #1 next year, followed by Prep then Landon. Gonzaga seems to fading from the program they once were. |
At least there's some hedging in this language, unlike the usual Often Wrong Never in Doubt takes. That said, and with due hedging, my first prop bet is that any ranking that has Prep above 6, Bullis or Landon below 5, and Episcopal anywhere at all will age like a carton of milk that sat on the mall all last week. My other prop bets are that Prep and PVI will luxuriate in club ball wherever they end up, SJC might actually see some recovery if they don't do the Prep/PVI thing, and that STA will stand on Episcopal's shoulders to climb into the top 10. Again. |
Prep has some boarding transfers arriving in August
|
Is one of them a head coach? |
Funny you should mention that. |
If Prep didn’t have boarding facilities, they would be terrible.
Still afraid to play Military Road next year. |
And if you were 6’7, you’d be in the nba. It’s like saying SJC would be awful without plank. They both have them so that’s the reality. |
Plank has never given a dime to lacrosse. |
SJC sucked last year, can we stop acting like it’s 2022.
They would have lost to Prep which is very telling. |
+everyone but SJC homers |
SJC might not exist but for Plank. |
