This is truly a new low for you VRSC haters. You can’t throw this type gossip out there. Enough already! I’ve been there for a couple of years and haven’t once seen or heard this. |
The amount of straight slander is gross and if they said it with their whole chest publicly could get sued by some of the people they keep making baseless claims against. |
One of the targets of these libelous posts should go find a public interest law firm to file a libel lawsuit against the posters. Get a subpoena compelling DCUM to turn over the IP addresses of offending posters. People think they are anonymous here but it’s not hard to track down a poster once you have their IP address. Read DCUM’s FAQs. |
Or hire any lawyer and set up a go fund me site to cover their legal costs. Plenty of people who come here for useful info would gladly contribute to an effort intended to shut down the garbage posts. |
I think what people miss (intentionally) about Revolution is that it meets the wants/needs for a lot of families. Not everyone's son or daughter is going to play professional soccer but having a nice facility, with a good coach and teammates that they like is what they're looking for. Everybody has to decide for themselves if the coach/club/team that they're paying for is "worth" their time and money. If I decide that it's right for my DC, why would anyone from another club care?
Presumably, there are people at other neighboring clubs (Loudoun Soccer?) who feel threatened by that by why? If LS is the right place for your family, that's great. If a club is as "bad" as people say, it seems like the market would resolve that. Soccer clubs are businesses, too, and if they're not making more money than they pay out, they won't be in business for very long. |
Couldn't have said this better myself!! Agree 100%!! Thank you! |

I agree completely. My kid tried a few different sports before deciding that he really liked soccer. We ended up at Revolution because a neighborhood friend of his played there. He tried it, liked it and has been there a couple of years now. I know it's not the highest level of soccer and that's completely fine. What we wanted him to get out of soccer is to 1) have fun, 2) learn to be part of a team (a very valuable life lesson), and 3) stay active instead of playing video games all the time. His Revolution team provides all that and that's all we want. Other people can live vicariously through their kids and argue back and forth about why their club or team is superior. Not interested, thanks! We're getting what we want and we're happy with that! |
What level of team is this? I heard a much lower price from a parent. |
I didn't like the onion rings, but thought maybe if I'd gotten a beer alongside they might have worked. |
If they really wanted to they definitely could. Just so you all know, they can grab your IP and info with a subpoena to the website. Nothing is actually anonymous. 😉 there are lots of really rich, bored, and petty people in the DMV, too. Lol |
I believe that’s for the GA teams. Regular travel is less than that. |
