Anyone truthful enough to admit it is well aware that neither Trump nor Biden should be leading our country. They are both in cognitive and physical decline. Not surprising for people their ages. Well Biden, for one, just had a very detailed physical. Here are the results: https://www.whitehouse.gov/wp-content/uploads/2024/02/Health-Summary-2.28.pdf I don't know about cognitive health, but his physical health is fine. His stiff gait relates to osteoarthritis and some peripheral neuropathy. He's getting PT for it. His lipid panel is better than mine and I am in my 60s and take a statin. You can read the whole thing for yourself. They posted a similar health report last year. In contrast, we have no health information on Trump; in the past, when he has supplied a letter from a doctor, it has been laughably inadequate. Please take a moment to read Biden's health report. I found it reassuring. Yes, you don't know about his cognitive health. Why is that? |

Trump, on the other hand, has a brain full of snakes. His vocabulary is down by a lot. To about 200 words. Many people are saying so. |

There is a diagnosis known as Mild Cognitive Impairment. I believe this is what Trump has. It's before the various dementia levels, and some patients can still "pass" dementia tests when they have MCI. But just because there's the word "mild" in it, doesn't mean it's actually harmless, especially if you want to be President of the most powerful nuclear country in the world. The problem is that it adds to his already impaired psychiatric health: his narcissism, delusions, inability to pay attention to briefings (that were turned from densely written text to mostly pictures during his presidency - he has dyslexia and ADHD), and tendency to fixate on inappropriate subjects (such as Macron's personal proclivities).
Biden continues to suffer from his stutter and pronunciation issues, which sometimes appear as memory or judgement lapses (President of Mexico instead of President of Egypt). I think he's also in age-related cognitive decline, but does not yet, or might never, meet criteria for MCI. Physically, he appears much older than Trump, and more frail. We can prop up Biden until Election Day, and still have a viable country with functioning institutions if Harris needs to step in. But I think we risk WWIII if Trump gets elected. He has far, far less impulse control and judgement than in 2016. He will be in full-blown dementia while in office, because MCI cannot be cured - it's just pre-dementia. |
| It comes down to the advisors each president is ,or will be, surrounding themselves with. That’s who you are really voting for. They are both in a cognitive decline. |
I agree with this. |
I’m worried. I, too, want Haley to stay in it. |
Yes. Those of us who have known people who descended into dementia see it. Sad. Anyone truthful enough to admit it is well aware that neither Trump nor Biden should be leading our country. They are both in cognitive and physical decline. Not surprising for people their ages. I'll admit it, no problem. I'll also admit that I trust Biden's team to keep us on a stable path and that I'll be voting for Biden if the choice is Biden v. Trump. |
