Your issue is mental illness and straight up arrogance-and, yeah, you will need a fair amount of $$ for that, probably. I guess your parents figured you've used all your chits up, and that's why you are mad. It isn't all about you.

Your issue is pathological callousness and narcissism, and youre going to leave a lot of cash considering your offspring will probably not take care of you at the end of your life, and will also bad mouth you to your offspring so you'll have no legacy. Enjoy your bed.

I see you continue to illustrate my point.

I see you continue to lack self awareness.

Were you all under the age of 18 the past two elections when you voted, what, boomers into the White House??

Overwhelmingly young people do not choose to elect boomers.

Those MAGAs are from all age groups. Where are the qualified 40 year olds? Besides Reagan, boomers voted for age appropriate candidates. Carter, Bush, Clinton, Obama. After that there were no standouts for people younger than Obama.

The well known lawmakers of younger generations are George Santos, MGT, Josh Hawthorne (lied about education), Matt Gaetz (possible sex offender for sex with teens).

We can do better and every age voter wants a strong intelligent honest leader who is over 35. Where are they? Why is Trump winning while he flies from state to state answering to crimes he’s been indicted for.

It's not about just MAGAs- Joe Biden is one step away from the nursing home. Most young people desperately want younger politicians, hence the popularity of Alexandra Ocasio Cortez on the left or Matt Gaetz and other conservative figures on the right. Young people overwhelmingly listen to other young people, be it Hasan Piker for leftists or Ben Shapiro for rightists. And figures like Alex Jones or even Nick Fuentes have a MASSIVE amount of popularity somewhere in a less traditionally right space, as do Antifa figures in less traditionally left spaces. What almost all sides have in common is a shocking amount of contempt for older political figures and establishment politics. Gen Z and millennials are more and more angry and speaking to each other in online spaces made up almost entirely of other young people, and increasingly seeking to find ways to (metaphorically) burn it all down, regardless of party affiliation.

I'm a GenX and my husband and I have boomer parents. They are holding a lot of wealth, BUT they also are living long lives and the last 15 years or so will basically strip all of that with expensive retirement/continuous care homes and medical care. So we don't expect any money from our boomer parents. We are just happy that they've made and saved enough to pay for their own care to the end of their lives and that they are living long lives so we (and our children) can spend more time with them.

That “contempt” says more about the people expressing it than about the people they feel it for.

Sounds like a great way to escape blame for your own actions...

Technically, President Biden is not a boomer because he was born in 1942. Trump just makes it as a boomer, as he was born in 1946.

Boomers were the children of returning WWII service people, so born in the years following the end of the war.

I thought we were just supposed to call anyone older than us a boomer.

Those 40 year old boomers are the worst. Greedy, greedy, greedy.

The sad thing is, some of the people involved in this thread will not get the humor in this comment.

Again, literally no one in the Boomer generation paid 40k for a house. Your information, perceptions, and beliefs are absolutely and entirely fiction. There is no wealth imbalance, Boomers went through the exact same financial and housing situation that millennials are dealing with. For the F - ing last time, you are blaming the wrong generation. Social media has elevated this nonsense to some kind of religion, but it's all false.

+2.
And my Boomer parents bought a house in 1979 that was not much more than $40K. So . . . "no one" is not correct.
Multiple studies demonstrate the boomer wealth imbalance. At this point to deny it is to lie to yourself.

How is the Boomer not self- aware when they were the primary witness to the era of history you are debating? Lol, have a seat. You are done here.

Undeniable.

They are comparing aspirational lifestyle, what Boomers may have now, not what they had then. Nothing has changed, Boomers had it actually worse. Secondly, there is a LARGE age difference in Boomers. Younger Boomers are the parents of millennials, not the older Boomers whose kids are Gen X. There's so much nuance lost resulting in stupid threads like this from this generation. Bottom line- you have to go through same hoops. Sorry, no short cut.

This is hysterical, they are older than you and have had a lot more time to accumulate wealth! Are you angry that more Boomers drive cars than Gen Z? Hint - many Gen Z are still too young to drive while all Boomers are old enough

I’m gen X and my Boomer parents have been giving all of us $17k per year every year for decades to start transferring wealth, I’m glad they’re so generous.
