Of course you would. That is the point. They aren't "dems" but have been labeled as such.

I think we all need to move towards a middle we can live with….

Where is the middle on abortion? I see NO GOP willing to legislate for the Roe-V Wade standard. What we see are total bans, bans at 6 weeks or 12 weeks. What happens if something happens to the fetus at 20 weeks? Just make the woman carry it to term everything else be damned?

Where is the middle on guns? I see NO GOP legislating for a middle ground. All unfetted access with NO background checks or other restrictions.

I could go on, but there is no middle we can all live with where the current GOP is concerned.

Well, the middle means we don’t all get what we want. I don’t mean to be disrespectful to your passion on guns and abortion.

Manchin isn’t my dream candidate either.

I’d like to think that there are a lot of Americans like me who would give up some political goals that are important to them in order to re-establish a middle in this country.

the middle also mean BOTH SIDES don't get what they want.

Where is the GOP compromise on guns?
Where it the GOP compromise on abortion?

Again, these are just two examples.

The middle is the middle, the GOP makes no effort to go there.

And every time the left moves to middle, the right goes further right. They’re unfit for governing.

How exactly has the left moved to the middle on abortion, or firearms?

The Democrats position is supported by the majority of voters. Roe v. Wade was the centrist position. Assault weapons ban and more restrictions on gun ownership is the centrist position.

Well for starters we want to RETURN to the assault weapons ban that already was law until Republicans moved us all to the right by eliminating it.

+1

And then then right wing blew up a fifty year long compromise on abortion too.

Honestly, I think some of these slow witted Republicans expect everyone to be as blinkered as they are.

What do "no labels" have to do with abortion or firearms? This party has already stated it will not involve itself in positions on these two issues that are going to drive the entire election cycle. This party is for the few clueless voters that don't appreciate the importance of these issues.

Democrats don't support RvW anymore, though. They think it is too restrictive. They want zero laws about abortion and for the entire issue to be left between women and their doctor.

So compromise at Roe. But the GOP won't do that.

I'm not arguing the merits of their position, I'm pointing out that they are not supporting RvW anymore because they see it as too restrictive. So saying that most Americans support RvW and therefore agree with the Democrats is inaccurate. I agree with RvW, but not with the Democratic position. They are two different things.

Yawn. I don’t get groups that seek to take partisanship out of politics. Politics is partisan. This is a liberal country, but a remnant ban of gun nuts is standing in the way of progress.

But in any case. No labels can't be bothered with the issue of abortion so the electorate won't be bothered with them.

So they don’t think women are full citizens entitled. So non partisan!
