I have some friends in town this weekend for business. They have a work dinner but I want to meet up with them after and take them out for dessert and maybe a drink.
Does anyone have any good recommendations for a good place to go for dessert only? Probably around 8:15pm (their work dinner is at 6:30). DC central, west or NOVA (they're staying in Rosslyn). |
Coco Salad in DC (Penn Quarter?)
Specializes in multiple interesting/tasty chocolate desserts & drinks in a relaxing lounge that has a "cool" vibe. |
*Coco Sala (not salad ![]() |
Ris does a good job. |
Coco Sala is a pretty good suggestion.
Might check out CityZen-- I think they will serve dessert at the bar. |

Definitely Coco Sala! It has wonderful chocolate desserts, but it is also a hip bar and the atmosphere is really nice. |
Bread and Chocolate
Cheesecake Factory |
If it is a Friday or Saturday, Coco Sala might be pretty crowded and standing room only. But it has been a while since I've been there so maybe it has calmed down. |
Co Co Sala - it's the best.
Agree about the reservations (even on weekdays). I live near by and even on many weekday nights now they are packed. |
No, she said DC, not Fairfax. |
DC has both upper NW. |
Bread and Chocolate and The Cheesecake Factory ARE in DC! Not that I would pick one of them. |
You mean Bethesdaspringchase, MD? Sorry, I thought she said...DC? |
