What's wrong with Cheesecake Factory? OK, not the most unique, but you can't tell me you don't like 1 of the 1000 items on their menu.

Isn't that by Mazza gallery? I can spit and hit MD from there.

La Rouche in Georgetown has a lovely French pastry selection. Also in Georgetown, Leonard's Konditerei.

(I really hope this isn't the OP. Chill the F--- out whoever you are.)

I love the desserts at Chef Geoff. Make a reservation wherever you go b/c dinner's in mid swing even at 8:30

Central has great desserts and a good bar scene. Tabard Inn is quieter, but also great desserts.

I think it would be lowercase "f---" just FYI.

If it's chilly, I like to cozy up in the lounge at the Tabard Inn, because it's old-school and quiet.

Another really crowded place at 8:00 pm. They won't see you for just dessert in the dining room at that time (I know, I've tried it). If you can get a seat in the lounge you can get dessert there, but finding a seat is another issue...

The riccotta doughnuts at Fiola rule.
Might call ahead, though, to see if it's going to be a problem getting a table for dessert when the restaurant is in the middle of the dinner rush.
