Back in the '80s and '90s, I did a lot of temp work, in which I simply replaced someone on vacation or supported a short-term project. I recently became unemployed and have been looking for temp work to bring in some income and get me out of the house while I look for work. The problem is that all of the temp agencies I visited (Manpower, Kelly, et al.) now focus on temp-to-perm rather than just temp. (The agents I met with expressed to me that I'm mid-career and hence priced out of the temp-to-perm market.)
Does anyone know any temp firms that still for short-term assignments? You know, data-entry or Excel/Access or something like that for a few weeks? Thanks! |
