| I'm new in town and am looking for preschools with current openings for my two year old twin boys. So far I've contacted ecc, chrsit episcopal, and rockville nursery school. We live in silver spring. Thank you in advance! |

Evergreen Montessori School
(Silver spring) |

Rockville Community Nursery School http://www.RCNSCoop.org and Rockville Nursery School and Kindergarten http://www.rnsandk.com are two different schools- very different schools, actually, in everything from school hours to parent involvement. But close neighbors, both just off 270 at Rte 28.
My 4yo goes to RCNS (the coop school). Last I heard there was room in the 2s (though it's not my child's class so I'm not sure if that's still true). You should call them to see if there is room for your two twos. Good luck finding a great match for your family, and welcome to the area! |

Where in Silver Spring?
We use St. Paul's CDC and like it pretty well - it's on East West Highway towards Bethesda a bit. http://stpaulscdcedu.org/id1.html |
| I think Chevy Chase Presbyterian Church has openings - CCPC. |
| Christ Episcopal is the best. Send your child there. |
|
Petals Child Development Center located in Bethesda.
has openings. Please call 301-299-0450 |

Where in SS is the best question. DC's school is close to wheaton and I think they normally have a few openings in the "regular" classes. www.silverspringlearningcenter.org
It's Jewish but open to all applicants and at least a smattering of kids in each grade are not Jewish. |
| Concord st. Andrews on river road on Bethesda has a sign that says they haveopenings... |
| If they are turning 3 soon, you can try Winchester School in Silver Spring (but they start at 3, and require toilet training). |
| They are almost 2.5 so not close to 3 yet. We are in Silver Spring, near the Wheaton border but it seems like everyone out here drives more then where we are from so school doesn't have to be in SS or even Wheaton proper. I'm going to check out Christ Episocopal and Petals. People seem to have good experiences with these schools! |
| Oops, new to this too. I should've included that the previous post is the OP. |

"everyone out here drives more then where we are from "
make sure you know what the drive time is like when you'd be doing drop-off (heading west from Wheaton can be horrible at 8:30 on weekdays if school starts at 9) and plan to do a school west of Wheaton. I commute south and have found N/S traffic from Wheaton area not nearly so horrible in AMs as E/W traffic. |
| Pp do you mean e/w is better or worse then n/s? Thanks!! |
| Christ episcopal has openings |
