Warm-weather destination for January/February

My two sisters and I would like to go someplace warm for 2-3 nights (long weekend) in January or February. One will travel from Boston and the other two from DC.

Priorities:
Warm weather
Short-ish flights (ideally 3 hours or less - but the Boston sister may need to accept a longer flight)
Not too expensive - we don't want to cheap out at the expense of a good time, but don't need the Ritz either
Good food, relaxing atmosphere

Any ideas? I've never done this sort of thing so could use some ideas.

Except for Florida, there is no warm weather place that is 3 hours.

You are not guaranteed warm weather in Florida.


These will be about 4 hours:
US Virgin Islands
Puerto Rico
Aruba/Curacao
Rivera Maya


It is high season so it is hard to do cheap at that time. Mexico may be your best bet.
