Boots.... still searching

I am short with skinny calves and trying to find a boot under 14 in circumference and height is hard. I'm trying to find something that I can where with Jeans and Casual dresses.
I've tried several and recently posted about Miz Mooz that I loved but they were just slightly to big on the calves at 14.

What do you think of these? I think they are gorgeous but I'm worried they are going to be too tough of a look for my clothes, mostly the dresses. With Jeans I think they are fine but if I'm going to spend this money I want something I can wear with everything. Any feedback/advice?

They are pretty low, too - one of the reason they have a low circumference is because they only have a 13 inch shaft. If you don't mind that, they are certainly cute boots.

I know they are lower than most but I have very short legs so they would come about an inch below my knee. The 14's that I tried were just about to my knee.... I guess it doesn't hurt to try them with free shipping and returns....

I had similar problems looking for boots for my short legs, and after trying on a million (it seemed) pairs, I got these:

I'm sorry! Yes, I do wear the Carsons with everything. They are extremely comfortable and do seem to go with everything.

I wear them everywhere, and they can take all kinds of abuse. I tried to justify (rationalize?) the cost because I seem to wear out shoes and boots in record time, and I don't think that will happen with these. They do show up for significantly less money on 6pm.com from time to time -- they are there now, in fact: http://www.6pm.com/frye-carson-pull-on-curry-leather . I believe I have the Cognac or the Tan, I can't remember, but they're looking better and better with time.

I really like those Jenna boots, too.
